Davis County sits between the lake and the bench, and the water table drives a lot of what we find. Basement moisture, efflorescence on foundation walls and sump systems that have quietly stopped working are common through Bountiful, Centerville and Woods Cross. Layton, Syracuse and Kaysville have grown fast, so newer homes there get the standard new-construction scrutiny before the builder warranty lapses.
